Requirements

To use the SMS text messaging service, the mobile device must send and receive text messages to and from a short code (FMBMT). Most mobile devices are capable of sending and receiving text messages, so most phones are likely compatible with Mobile Banking. Please note that some mobile service carriers charge for outgoing text messages or for each message sent and received.

This is a great option when you want answers fast, like "Where’s the closest ATM?” or “What’s my balance?”

Text banking quick commands:

  • BAL – view account balances
  • HIST + account nickname – (i.e. HIST Jim’s Checking) transaction history
  • ATM + zip, city or state – (i.e. ATM Anaconda or ATM 59808) to locate an ATM
  • BRANCH + zip, city or state – (i.e. Branch Kalispell or Branch 59923) to locate a Bank branch

How to sign up for account alerts

  2. Click next to “Alerts” at the top of your screen.
