Operations Support Specialist - Libby MT

First Montana Bank has an opening for a full-time Operations Support Specialist in Libby, Montana. Under the direction of the Libby Operations Officer, this position performs a variety of duties in order to provide central support for branch operations and other bank departments, often providing an additional internal control by ensuring separation of duties, such as in reconciling accounts or reviewing diagnostic system reports. The position is also responsible for providing outstanding customer service, over the telephone or via online chat or email, to assist customers with banking questions and issues. Duties also include tasks related to compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, consumer regulations and other federal and state laws. All duties are performed in a manner that ensures the privacy and security of sensitive information.
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have: 
•    a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree

Accounting Specialist – Missoula MT

First Montana Bank is seeking an ambitious and detail oriented applicant who is looking for a professional career opportunity as an Accounting Specialist in Missoula, MT.  This position is responsible for ensuring various applications are reconciled as needed. Differences and outstanding items identified and resolved timely. This position is responsible for the bank's Bond Portfolio, Accounts Payable, and Item Entry for Inst 11 (Bancorp) and Item Entry for INST 12, 13, 14, and 15. Lastly, is a backup to the Accounting Officer for HR/Payroll functions.

  1. This position is responsible for day-to-day balancing of all applications including but not limited to DDA/SAV/COD/DDL/LAS, in-process general ledger accounts, correspondent bank accounts, cashier's checks, money orders, stale dated items, interest checks, and the Federal Reserve Bank correspondent account. 
  2. Responsible for Bank Controlled Accounts.  Receive and review branch reconciliations.  Maintain files to document and support proper Internal Controls.
  3. Business Analytics Reports - deposit application reports as needed for Audit and/or End of Year.
  4. Responsible for the Bond Accounting System and the FTN Portfolio including but not limited to posting payments, recording buys and sells, item entry and month end accrual entries.   Communicate changes/adds/pledges, etc. to FTN as needed.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

  • a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree
  • a minimum of (1) to (2) years related experience and/or training
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • have the ability to be bonded
